Bradgate Grange was approached by the Garden Design Co to design and build a garden room on their show garden – “The Living Landscape – A Nostalgic Experience.”

This show garden would be one of the largest show gardens on display at this years BBC Gardener’s World Live, which would be explored by thousands of visitors as well as being televised on the BBC.

The client had a clear brief. The garden was designed with the whole family in mind. The space brings out the inner child with it’s playful and nostalgic features. The garden recollects childhood memories such as soaring over the lake on a branch tied to a tree with a rope and pond dipping for tadpoles.

The garden room would be one of the key features of the show garden and wherever possible the client was looking to create a sustainable building.

Working closely with the client, Bradgate Grange provided a customised solution, ensuring that everything was on point for the client.

Bradgate Grange met the brief by designing and building a garden room made from sustainable materials including larch and a rubber roof.

Bi-folding doors to the garden room lead to a beautifully decorated interior.

It was an absolute pleasure working on this project with the garden designer and all the parties involved in the creation of the show garden.

The feedback received has been tremendous and the team at Bradgate Grange are incredibly proud of the end result.

The show garden was not only explored by Monty Don and Rachel de Thame, but the judges at the show also gave it TWO AWARDS – A Silver Merit and Best Construction Landscaper UK 2022
